Physical Education

While most classes at Central are geared toward the development of the mind, the Physical Education Department takes that function one step further and also works on developing the body in a series of co-educational classes. Freshmen generally spend the first year of high school fulfilling the physical education requirements of health education, gym and pool.

In addition, upperclassmen may take physical fitness, officiating, individual sports, life guarding, dance aerobics and team sports classes that are geared toward personal programs, learning skills, strategies of team play, and sportsmanship that will lead to students choosing life long healthy habits.

The goal is to positively affect students physically, intellectually, mentally, socially and emotionally.
