It is the desire of all staff members at Central that knowledge learned in the classroom will be put to use in the students' daily lives. But that will probably happen most often in classes offered through the Life Management Department. Skills learned in these classes will often be used first and most often as students enter the "real" world.

Through classes offered in Life Management, students learn how to use personal, social and economic resources to meet individual and family needs on physical, social, intellectual and emotional levels. Employers are looking for people with “soft skills”, which are taught and applied in Life Management classes.

Through classes such as Human Development, Personal Living, Foods and Nutrition, Clothing and Textiles, Money and Family Health, students are able to obtain knowledge and develop skills that will influence the quality of their lives at home and at work.
