Teachers will explain to students the importance of being in class on time, the disruptions it causes and how being late if you had a job is not acceptable.
Below is the procedure:
1) Each hour when the bell rings to start class, close your door. We essentially are having a lockout each hour without making the announcement. 2) The students who are late for class will need to go see a hall monitor to get a pass back to class. Do not let anyone in without this pass. We will be having a hall monitor assigned to 3rd floor during the beginning of class. 3) The hall monitor will be signing and keeping the white copy. 4) The teacher is to keep the yellow copy for your records. 5) The student can keep the pink copy. 6) The hall monitor will be giving the white copy to Linda Velasquez who will be keeping track of those tardy. 7) 7 tardies equal one day in school suspension 8) 10 tardies equal two days in school suspension 9) 13 tardies equal three days out of school suspension
*Tardinesss of 10 minutes or more will be considered and abscence. The teacher will notify the student when tardies and absences are being recorded. |
